Privacy notice
Draft for review by Fola F. Alabi before launch. Last updated October 2026.
What we collect
When you create an account: your first name, email, and password (stored only as a secure one way hash, never as the password itself). If you complete a member profile: your full name, organization, level, function, organization size, and sector. When you use the assessment or checklists: your answers and results. When you use a form or the Institute assistant: the details and questions you send.
Why we collect it
To give you access to the VLBoK, save your results, reply to your requests, and, if you agree, send The Value Brief and related resources. We do not sell personal information.
Who can see it
Your assessment results and checklist progress are private to your account. The Institute owner can see account details, requests, and assistant questions in order to respond. Team results, when offered, are reported only for groups of five or more.
Where it is stored
Data is stored in a private database on the Institute's own web hosting in Canada or the United States, depending on our hosting provider. Questions to the assistant are processed by Anthropic to generate an answer. Emails are sent from the Institute's own mailbox.
Your choices
You can leave The Value Brief at any time, change your password from your account, and request deletion of your account and data from the account page. The Institute follows Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act.
